Deborah and Chef Jean-Jacques Chatelard own and work in the Bistro. Jean-Jacques brings over 25 years of culinary excellence from the top restaurants of Rome, Paris and New York City to his newest undertaking. Under his stewardship as Executive Chef, Restaurante Manuia was nominated as Best Restaurant in Rome in the mid 1980s. As a sous chef for the world-renowned Cafe des Artists in Manhattan, Jean-Jacques' increased the restaurant's ranking to 5 stars.
Deborah Chatelard assisted in directing the catering operations of two of New York City's most famous restaurants, The Russian Tea Room and Tavern on the Green. A graduate of the prestigious school of hotel and restaurant management in Le Bouveret, Switzerland, Deborah brings 15 years of professional experience to the restaurant and hopes to offer the finest on and off-premise catering service to the people of Yamhill County, and the greater Portland area. Bistro Maison may be reserved for a private lunch or dinner party for groups ranging from 15 to 100 people, including social, corporate, philantropic celebrations, weddings and rehearsal dinners, retirement dinners, birthday and anniversary celebrations.
From intimate dinners to special celebrations, we provide Bistro Maison's cuisine combined with personalized service attending to every detail of your entertaining needs. The Paris Suite on the second floor or the magnificent and very special garden patio accommodates up to 40 guests for lunch and dinner or 80 for cocktail reception and is a perfect setting for both private and corporate celebrations. |
