Description:
Since meeting in 1984, business partners John Davidson and John Gilpin have maintained a passion for Pinot Noir. They have grown, grafted and planted more than a million vines in verdant Yamhill County over the past two decades. They own or manage more than 200 acres of vineyards in the Willamette Valley.

Through practiced and meticulous stewardship in the vineyard, careful attention to yield and minimalist winemaking practices, they achieve complex, fruit-driven wines with complementary oak profiles. Walnut City WineWorks winemakers understand and appreciate the allure, nuances and vitality of Pinot Noir. From their down-to-earth working winery they produce high-quality wines from grapes planted and nurtured in North America's premier Pinot Noir appellation, the Willamette Valley in Oregon.

Special Notes:
In keeping their focus on their winemaking background, they repurposed the original Willamette Valley Walnut Co. building in McMinnville. The old red building in the heart of the city's historic - once nicknamed Walnut City - is a winery that exudes the character of its past without pretension. After more than 20 vintages, the WineWorks team still takes joy in the process of soils and vines producing grapes they turn into great wine.
